David Miles has over 40 years of experience in planning, development, management and financing of aviation infrastructure and services, working throughout the world with significant experience in developing economies. 

Prior to joining Avinia, David founded Ambidji, was the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Principal of the company’s Aviation Advisory Practice.

  • Airports Vanuatu Ltd – Advised CEO and Board on building capacity to manage three international airports, national ATC, security, firefighting, ground handling, and freight operations.
  • Dili Airport PPP, Timor Leste – Project Director for IFC/GoTL due diligence; evaluated COVID impact and recovery strategies for PPP structuring.
  • Batam Island Airport PPP, Indonesia – Buy-side advisor for a global operator; led technical due diligence, planning, and financial analysis.
  • Nadi Airport Master Plan, Fiji – Directed 20-year master plan including demand forecasting, fleet strategy, and development alternatives.
  • Jaipur, Lucknow, Ahmedabad PPP, India – Conducted financial modeling for privatized development/operation of three airports.
  • New Makkah Airport, Saudi Arabia – Reviewed sector strategy and regulatory framework for private greenfield development.
  • Chicago Ground Handling Reform – Studied global best practices in airport-airline-ground handling relationships.
